In this video I’m going to show you how to add custom thumbnails to your YouTube videos

  1. Login into YouTube.com
  2. Select your Avatar from the top right corner -> Select the Settings Cog

  3. Select Overview -> Select View Additional Features

  4. Select Channel -> Select Status and Features

  5. Verify that thumbnails are enabled

    1. Account has been verified. If not, then you must Verify your YouTube account to Unlock Additional Features
    2. Community Guidelines must be in Good Standing. If it’s not, then contact YouTube to figure out why.
    3. Copyright must be in Good Standing. If it’s not, then contact YouTube to figure out why.
    4. Custom Thumbnails status must be Green. It will be grey if your account hasn’t been verified and/or is not in good standing.
  6. Select Video Manager -> Select Videos -> Locate and select the video that you want to change the thumbnail -> Select Edit

  7. On the video’s homepage, Select Custom Thumbnail or Change Thumbnail (if one was previously set)-> Locate and select a thumbnail -> Select Save Changes
