Sometimes, and seemingly at random, you open Adobe Audition and are presented with the following error:
Audition has reached the limit of audio data it can use. Please close some files to continue.
There is not enough space on the hard drive for the temp disk caches. For this reason, opening large enough files will cause Adobe Audition to crash on startup even though it doesn’t crash when opening small enough files. Note that I use the term”enough”; this is because the file size is relative to the amount of diskspace on the computer and the temp cache size used by your version of Adobe Audition
- Remove unnecessary files from your hard drive
- Compress large files
- Do whatever else is required to regain at least 5 – 10GB of hard drive storage (just a WAG)
